Deepali is a Carbon and Energy Consultant. She brings Life Cycle Assessment experience to Pangolin Associates. She is also an Australian Life Cycle Assessment Society (ALCAS) certified Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) practitioner. She has worked on various Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) projects with the EPD Australasia Program.
Prior to joining Pangolin’s scientific team, Deepali worked at Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA) as a Life Cycle, Standards, and Technical Officer. Her work involved LCA and EPD projects, development, and revision of life cycle-based ecolabel standards based on ISO 14024, and development and verification of GECA’s claims authentication based on ISO 14021.
Deepali holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering from UNSW and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. She is currently a member of the Technical Working Group at Living Future Institute Australia (LFIA). She helps to contextualise the Living Future programs for Australia, and to develop ‘crosswalks’ with local standards, with the aim to increase the number of ‘living buildings.’
Deepali is also a co-chair of Materials & Embodied Carbon Leaders’ Alliance (MECLA) within the Cement and Concrete Working Group which aims to support the acceleration of the low embodied carbon materials in manufacturing and supply.
