Craig is a Carbon and Energy Consultant. He brings broad experience of the energy sector to Pangolin Associates, such as oil and gas exploration and public sector policy for the National Electricity Market (NEM). Prior to Pangolin he worked at the Clean Energy Finance Corporation, and with the Energy Markets Analysis team at Origin Energy.
Craig is a member of several professional associations related to carbon markets and atmospheric sciences, so is well versed in the issues concerning Australian Energy Markets and climate change. He is a current member of the Carbon Market Institute (CMI), the American Geophysical Union (AGU), the Australian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society (AMOS), and the European Geophysical Union (EGU).
His experience also extends to consultancy organisations: KPMG, Cuscal, and Lacima Group. Craig has worked on a range of financial and risk applications including project finance, marketing and sales, and risk modelling for several classes of financial risk.
Craig holds a PhD in Earth Sciences from Monash University, a Master’s of Commerce majoring in Finance from the University of Sydney, and a First-Class Honours in Applied Mathematics from Monash University.
Craig’s core interest is climate change mitigation through a business-led transition to a net zero carbon economy. To that end he brings his advanced analytical and problem-solving expertise, business acumen and interpersonal skills.
