Matthew assists Pangolin Associates’ clients with Environmental Social Governance (ESG) strategies including stakeholder engagement, materiality, risks and value creation, framework development, and transition planning and reporting.
Matthew’s interest in sustainability grew whilst a business consultant in Southeast Asia. He consulted to a diverse range of sectors including retail, forestry, agriculture, bamboo, garment manufacture, and education. Primarily Matthew worked in project development with organisations such as the International Finance Corporation (IFC), International Labour Organization (ILO), UK Aid, and CARE International.
Prior to his years in Southeast Asia, Matthew worked in engineering and manufacturing in the aviation and rail industries. He held roles in senior finance and commercial and process improvement within ASX 100 companies.
Matthew is a Chartered Accountant (CA) with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, and a Graduate (GAICD) of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the Australian National University, Canberra and has completed a Certificate in ESG Investing at the CFA Institute, USA.
