Shuchi joined Pangolin Associates in early 2019 as an Emissions and Energy Auditor. Her work at Pangolin corresponds with her studies and thesis project at UNSW. Shuchi will complete a double degree in Renewable Energy Engineering and Commerce by the end of 2019. Her thesis focusses on energy efficiency in buildings and the environmental impacts of retrofits.
Previously, Shuchi worked for a solar panel manufacturing company. She was part of the engineering team that provided support for customers installing PV panels. She has also volunteered for numerous programs, including Pollinate Energy, a social enterprise based in Bangalore India and operating in several Indian and Nepalese cities. This is an NGO aiming to mitigate energy poverty by providing solar power to under-developed, impoverished urban neighbourhoods.
Currently, Shuchi is Vice President of the Women in Renewable Energy Society at UNSW. It is a way for her to contribute to areas of particular interest: tackling climate change, and empowering diversity in the engineering and sustainability industry.
