We strive to ensure our workplace is ethical and inclusive and, beyond our office doors, that our business contributes to a fairer, more equitable and sustainable world. We adhere to the requirements of the Modern Slavery Act 2018 and deliberately select partners, contractors and suppliers who uphold its principles.
Pangolin Associates has zero tolerance for the exploitation of individuals in any form. While we cannot control the actions of other organisations, we expect our employees, and the businesses that support, supply or work with Pangolin and our clients, to operate in accordance with laws prohibiting modern slavery, human trafficking and child labour. To support this commitment, our third-party supplier engagement procedures include explicit expectations regarding social accountability and compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2018.
As part of our procurement process, Pangolin requires suppliers to complete a third-party supplier questionnaire. We seek evidence of policies, practices and procedures that demonstrate responsible business conduct, and we use this information to inform our supplier selection decisions.
While Pangolin provides professional services and does not manufacture goods, we recognise our responsibility to consider modern slavery risks within our own supply chain. This includes products and equipment purchased for our offices, such as electronic devices, furniture and stationery. We undertake reasonable due diligence to better understand the conditions under which goods are produced and the treatment of workers throughout the supply chain.
These expectations are embedded within our internal procedures and employee training, and we encourage staff to apply the same principles in their personal purchasing decisions.
Our commitment to the fair and ethical treatment of people is also reflected in our ongoing pursuit of B Corporation certification. The B Corp framework sets high standards across all areas of corporate responsibility, including governance, workers, community, environment, and the principles of dignity, equity and justice.
