Mark is a Senior Consultant at Pangolin Associates with executive consulting experience in the areas of Mandatory Climate Reporting, governance, risk management and assurance of sustainability metrics. He has a strong background in finance which enables him to provide valuable insights for sustainability reporting and the linkages with financial information and processes. Mark works with clients across all sectors and is highly regarded for his collegiate working style and practical approach to problem solving.
Prior to joining Pangolin, Mark was a manager at PwC in the Sustainability Reporting and Assurance team. He worked for some of PwC’s high-profile clients and developed his expertise in sustainability reporting and assurance.
Mark’s earlier career included senior audit and finance roles for major multinational industrial companies, Holcim and Dupont. He gained extensive international experience in Asia Pacific Regional roles, as well as expatriate assignments with Dupont in Geneva, Switzerland, and Wilmington Delaware, in the USA.
Mark’s career started with Deloitte, where he attained the Chartered Accountant designation. His education also includes a Master of Science (Coaching Psychology) from the University of Sydney, an Executive MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM) at the UNSW Business School, a Master of Economics from Macquarie University, and a Bachelor of Business from UTS.
Outside of work Mark is involved in a range of volunteer activities, most notably relating to inclusive education. He is passionate about children receiving an equitable opportunity in education and he advocates to overcome barriers to inclusion in schools, working through P&C associations. Mark is also the co-founder of a social venture (Party4Purpose – going live in 2025) aimed at waste reduction and philanthropic donations.
