Azra is based in the Pangolin Associates’ Melbourne Office where she is a Senior Consultant in the Climate Solutions technical team. Azra’s experience has covered a range of carbon management activities including helping with initial carbon accounting and greenhouse gas assessments, advising on deeper carbon emissions reductions, developing carbon management plans and Climate Active applications.
Prior to Pangolin Associates, Azra worked as a Sustainability Consultant and Analyst at a boutique consulting firm. During her time at the firm, she assisted clients with sustainability and ESG projects. She also had the opportunity to work on Sustainability Victoria (SV) funded projects, product stewardship, and various other projects.
Azra completed a Master of Environment and Sustainability Degree at Monash University specialising in Leadership for Sustainable Development. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science from Deakin University with a specialisation in Environmental Management and Sustainability. She also holds a Diploma of Conservation and Land Management from RMIT.
Azra is an advocate for continuous improvement and learning and she has maintained this mindset since joining the workforce. She has completed courses in Auditing an Environmental Management System ISO 14001:2015, Introduction to B Corps, and Social Return on Investment Practitioner Training.
Azra’s interest in sustainability and education also took her on a study tour of Nepal where she visited grassroot organisations, changemakers, and the Fred Hollows Foundation. She immersed herself in the culture, food, language, and religions of different regions of the country.
On a personal level, Azra is an advocate for bringing environmental education to younger generations. She volunteered at Kids Teaching Kids for over five years.
