Brian is a Consultant on Pangolin’s technical team in Sydney. He helps clients with carbon footprints and certifications for Australia’s Climate Active program. As well as greenhouse gas (GHG) assessments and decarbonisation strategies, Brian brings experience in green finance taxonomies and voluntary climate reporting.
Prior to joining Pangolin, Brian held a position at the Carbon Trust. He was responsible for delivering clean energy projects under the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) funded Transforming Energy Access (TEA) platform. This work involved Scale Up Delivery, Phase 2: implementation in sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, and developing ASEAN. He also worked on the Powering Renewable Energy Opportunities (PREO) program.
Brian’s experience also includes 18 months in the role of Programme Management Associate at the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Sub-regional office for Southern Africa. At UNEP he focused on interventions for combating the triple planetary crises of climate change, loss of nature and biodiversity, and pollution and waste.
Brian holds an MEng in Environmental Engineering and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pretoria, South Africa.
