Richard is a Senior Consultant at Pangolin Associates with expertise in the processes and requirements for B Corp certification: a rigorous, global standard ensuring environmental and social accountability. His background also includes the implementation of carbon reduction tools and platforms for training purposes. In 2008 Richard started Carbon Training International. He developed the Certificate IV in Carbon Management designed to help organisations build workplace knowledge and capacity.
Before joining Pangolin, Richard was part of the World Flourishing team for the Australian accessories company, Bellroy. He helped the company achieve initial and subsequent B Corp certifications. He then went on to advise other organisations with their certification processes. Prior to Bellroy, Richard was Editor-in-Chief of The Carbon Manager magazine, and he ran Green Canary, a marketing and education company helping schools raise money whilst encouraging environmentally sustainable behaviour change in the home.
Richard is particularly interested in the cross-pollination of innovative technology into different sectors. He is a founding member of Ripple Surfcoast: a networking collective running events to encourage businesses to operate as a force for good. He holds a BEng degree in Architectural Engineering from Cardiff University in Wales, UK.
