Pangolin Associates is a certified B Corp member in Australia (B Corp logo)Today, releasing its fourth annual ‘B Corp Best for the Environment’ list, the US-based B Lab recognised Australian carbon and energy management consultants, Pangolin Associates. B Lab is the non profit organisation behind the rapidly growing B Corporation movement, a global initiative focussed on using business as a force for good.

The Best for the Environment list honours organisations that earned an environmental score in the top 10% of more than 1,200 Certified B Corporations from over 120 industries across 38 countries. B Lab bases its selection on the B Impact Assessment, a rigorous and comprehensive evaluation of a company’s impact on its workers, community, and the environment. Pangolin Associates is among a select group of small and mid-sized businesses honoured around the globe.

Pangolin’s Managing Director, Iain Smale, says, “We created the company five years ago to fill a gap in quality, highly regarded sustainability services that could be accessed, not just by large companies, but by any organisation wishing to reduce their footprint. Our executive team felt becoming a founding B Corporation well aligned with Pangolin’s own operating philosophy.”

The B Corp ‘Best for the Environment’ list sets a gold standard for high impact companies and demonstrates that any type of organisation can use business as a force for good. It is part of the ‘Best for the World’ series, which went on to inspire the ‘Best for NYC’ campaign. NYC is the first municipal public-private impact partnership in the world supporting businesses that create higher quality jobs and improvements to life in local neighbourhoods, all while strengthening the bottom line.
